January in Los Angeles can be real tough sometimes! Last week some friends from France came out to visit and brought their super son Sam. We all ran around Venice Beach and got crazy! It was a blast! Come back soon Alex and Saundrine!! We miss you guys! Andrea taught Lyla how to play in the waves... good times!
Lyla's first B day started of with a sweet lemon pick, then a 4 wheeler ride in a party dress, a couple bites of pizza.. and then a thumbs up for the birthday cake.. all in all a perfect 9/9/09.
Lyla now knows "Big Splash!!" in the bathtub.. she also knows how to try to take a nosedive into the bathtub all by herself.. not successfully yet though.
We just read in our book that we should be able to splash a little water in Lyla's face at this age.. hmmm.. well for the last month and a half, she has liked the full water dumping over the head trick the best, she thinks it's hilarious.
My good friend Carol dropped by from San Francisco to say hello to little Lyla. Carol taught her how to be a super goof ball and to catch air on the little green pony! It was good times. Thanks for coming Carol!
For Farley's birthday a bunch of us decided our little ones needed some culture so we all headed west to the Getty Center. Turns out Lyla loves monorails, loves her aunt libby and definatley considers herself a modernist! We also learned she's not that into realism or the 405! But then again who is! Ha!
These are a bit dark-but still adorable! Lyla decided to roll around and perform for us all weekend in honor of her dad's birthday! The first one demonstrates her desire to grab and eat everything in site. And the second one she is showing us all her sweet gorilla moves! Check em out! Happy Birthday Farley!
For New Years Eve Aaron's mom Debi came to visit. She left some serious cold weather in Washington and we had a super nice week in LA. We went from Malibu to Pasadena and even threw in a little tar pits. Lyla was extra adorable especially in her pink bear suit! She can't wait for Grandma to visit again!!
